Unit OverviewMonday and Tuesday Face to Face
1. Discuss The Weekly Word: Target. 2. Group students in 3. Have students name their group. 3. Watch Simile Movies Wednesday Formative Assessment 1. Watch Simile Movies 2. Groups watch Brittney's Story and Eva's Story 3. Take home the Common Sense Says and the Media Agreement Handout and talk about both with your parents. Check what you are willing to do and have your parents check what they are willing to do. Bring the Media Agreement back for a daily grade. Thursday Personalized Learning 1. Read and discuss both case studies in class 2. Take the Broadcast It assessment. 3. Set up PIXTON Accounts. Always use your school email and Google Login info. Friday Digital Learning 1. Each group will create a comic strip about a consequence they had or witnessed involving online content, social media, netiquette, . 2. Each student in the group will create a character or avatar. 3. Students should create a Moral to the story. (It should teach a positive Lesson) 4. Comic Strips are due on Tuesday. Turn in all assignments for daily grades. The Simile Movie will be a TEST GRADE. Allow yourself enough time on Friday to post your Simile Movie on your e-Portfolio (Posting it will be a daily grade). Create a reflection about what you learned by doing this assignment.
